The plea comes from former Brexit Party MEP Claire Fox who told Brexit Unlocked hosts Martin Daubney and Belinda De Lucy the Prime Minister will be “finished” if he fails to deliver on Brexit, as he struggles to win the public’s support on coronavirus measures. She blasted: “I think that Boris Johnson, with or without Dominic Cummings, knows that if it is seen that he is to betray Brexit, then he really is finished.
“Covid has thrown things into the air.
“A lot of people who voted for him are already upset about lockdown measures.
“But the one thing they hold on to is that he will deliver some kind of a reasonable Brexit.
“He’s under pressure to do that. It won’t be the clean Brexit we want.
“But it could be a sufficiently good enough break from the EU that we’re happy.
“He still got a chance which is why this programme and all of those people who are watching must keep up the pressure.
“He’s not just doing this on his own and if he thinks that the public will, the red wall voters and everyone else will be furious with them. We know he’s a populist, we know he’s an opportunist. And we know he doesn’t like upsetting too many people.
“So let’s remind him how upset we’ll be.”
As Brexit talks were due to resume, Britain said on Monday its red lines remained unchanged but that it wanted to reach a trade deal with the European Union if the bloc chose to make progress.
“Our red lines haven’t changed and we’re preparing for whatever the outcome is,” Health Secretary Matt Hancock told Sky.
“Of course our preference is to get a deal and that is open to the Europeans if they choose to make the progress that’s needed.”
He added: “In terms of the big decisions that we’ve got coming up this week – the big expansion of mass testing that we’re announcing this morning, doubling the testing capacity by the early new year.

Brexiteer outlines three ‘immediate priorities’ for Boris Johnson [ANALYSIS]
“Obviously the work on the vaccines – good news the start of the new vaccine trial from Janssen today – and we hope that works because we’ve got 30 million of those on order.
“And then obviously working on the Brexit deal, which Lord Frost has gone to Brussels today to agree with.
“All these things, the Prime Minister will, I have absolutely no doubt, be gripping in his normal way.”
