EU, France and UK set for crunch meeting TODAY hoping for ‘swift solution’ to fishing row

A meeting will take place between the three sides later this afternoon. 

According to reports, it is hoped the meeting will lead to a “swift resolution” on any outstanding issues. 

Representatives from the Jersey and Guernsey governments will also be present at the meeting. 

The BBC’s Jessica Parker said: “I’m told a meeting, convened by European Commission, will take place this afternoon bringing together senior officials from the Commission, France, UK, Jersey and Guernsey.

“Spox tells me it’s to allow for ‘swift solution’ on ‘outstanding issues’.”
