Nicola Sturgeon admits ‘real concern’ as Scotland’s COVID-19 cases soar to record high

Scotland has registered a total of 486 new cases in the last 24 hours. The country’s First Minister confirmed the alarming statistics during her coronavirus press briefing this afternoon. Ms Sturgeon also issued a plea to Scottish students to help combat the coronavirus from spreading.

The SNP leader said regarding the new record number of confirmed daily coronavirus cases:  “That’s obviously a real cause for concern but it also underlines why we took very decisive and very tough action yesterday to try to get the virus under control.”
