A Boozy, Mousse-y Cake for Pops

Lady M’s latest collaboration, with the Japanese distiller Mars, melds chocolate with whisky.

A Father’s Day gift meant for sharing is this new, intensely chocolaty cake from Lady M infused with Japanese whisky. Inside a framework of chocolate sponge cake are milk and dark chocolate mousse and a layer of jelly. Added to the mousses and the jelly is some Iwai Tradition from Mars Whisky in Japan, an amber spirit with a hint of sweetness and smoke. The whole 9-inch cake is available at Lady M boutiques, and from Goldbelly, it is sold frozen nationwide. Iwai Tradition is available in liquor stores for around $50 for a 750-milliliter bottle.
