Coronavirus expert warns Brits to stay away from ‘big blokes’ in the gym

Fitness freaks have been urged to stay away from gyms because “big blokes pumping away” might be coronavirus super-spreaders.

Pandemic expert Dr Norman Swan warned that gyms are the perfect place for the virus to spread because there is so much sweat.

He told ABC: “Dampness is a bad thing for spreading germs.

“You've got these big blokes pumping away and you never know, one of them might be a super spreader.

“You've got to be super careful at the gym. You've got to make sure you wipe down (the equipment) before and after use.”

He said: “I wouldn't go near any humid area to be honest.”

It comes after Health Minister Nadine Dorries was diagnosed with the virus last night.
