Anthony Scaramucci told TimesRadio that US election results have been woeful for pollsters who predicted a clear victory for Democrat nominee Joe Biden. He added that the Republican Party’s candidates for President are going to get “more Trumpy” in the 2024 and 2028 US elections.

Mr Scaramucci said: “This is a woeful night for the pollsters and I think it is a great night for the President.

“You have to look at it objectively and say that he has outperformed expectations.

“He is going to keep the Senate and he is in the race, it is a very tight race.

“You had pollsters in this country saying it was 90 percent Joe Biden was going to win.

“The New York Times said Joe Biden was going to win Florida, obviously, that is not the case.”

He added: “They are sticking with Trump over the Democratic nominee, so I think that is troubling for the Democrats going forward.

“The Republicans are going to get more Trumpy with a new crop of Presidential candidates in 2024 and 2028.”
