Film set crews have been left in shock after a massive blaze engulfed a workshop at a famous UK film studio tonight.

Emergency service crews raced to Pinewood Studios in Slough, Berkshire, home of the James Bond series, at around 9:10pm on Thursday evening after flames and a large cloud of smoke were seen rising from the building

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Witnesses described the blaze as a 'huge' and reported at least five fire engines attended the scene, reports The Mirror.

Workers at the studio, which also hosts a number of television productions, including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Taskmasters, took to social media to report their surprise.

Posting a video of the raging video, David Burns wrote: "Meant to be filming at Pinewood East tomorrow."

Locals also reported a loud sound resembling fireworks coming from the site, with one tweeting: "Lots of (what sounds like) fireworks near me and local FB group says it's Pinewood studios burning."
