Harry thinks he’s found freedom but is trapped by Meghan, claims royal expert

Prince Harry may feel like he has found freedom but he is in fact increasingly trapped by his wife Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes that Harry's entrapment is so complete he does not even realise it yet.

The troubling predicament for the Duke of Sussex seems to contradict the description he gave podcast host Dan Draxford in which he explained that he felt more free in America.

Mr Fitzwilliams told The Sun: "He claims he’s found freedom. In reality he seems to be increasingly trapped, but it is clear he doesn’t realise it yet."

Prince Harry has come under criticism for his appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast on Thursday in which Harry made a number of apparent controversial statements.

During the candid chat he explained to Dan Draxford that the family finally feel more relaxed and both his and Meghan's "shoulders have dropped.

Harry also revealed that the married couple first met in a supermarket where they were texting each other from separate aisles, which Mr Fitzwilliams also touched on.

"He tells us he and Meghan pretended they were ordinary people in a supermarket who didn’t know each other and got weird looks, as well they might," the royal expert commented.

"He says he knows what makes a princess because Meghan told him.

"It is easy to conclude that he no longer makes his own mind up, it seems to be made up for him. It’s sadly obvious."

In one of the more controversial moments during Harry's interview he spoke of parenting and claimed his dad "suffered" due to his upbringing by the Queen and the late Prince Philip, then "treated me the way he was treated".

The Duke of Sussex said: "There’s no blame, I don’t think we should be pointing the finger or blaming anybody.

“But certainly when it comes to parenting, if I have experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering perhaps my father or my parents suffered, I’m gonna make sure that I break that cycle so that I don’t pass it on, basically.

During an official engagement on Friday in Cardiff Prince Charles ignored questions about his son.
