Hurricane Ida has made landfall in Louisiana, with wind speeds of up to 240km/h hitting the city of New Orleans. You can watch live events on Bourbon Street in the coastal city, as heavy rain continues to fall.
Hurricane Ida has forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate from Louisiana.
The storm was more intense than the infamous 2005 Hurricane Katrina when it eventually made landfall on Sunday night.
Ida had been gathering strength over the Gulf of Mexico over the past few days.
It was confirmed to be a Category 4 hurricane on Sunday, and wind speeds were marginally short of a terrifying Category 5 storm when it eventually reached New Orleans.
