Husband of Colorado woman missing in Florida building collapse releases statement.

The husband of a Colorado woman who is missing in the Florida condo-building collapse expressed appreciation for support he has received during the ordeal.

Cassondra Stratton, wife of Michael Stratton, is among the more than 150 people who are considered missing after the collapse. As of Friday afternoon, there were four confirmed deaths.

Stratton, a political strategist and lobbyist with deep ties in Colorado’s Democratic Party, flew to Florida from Colorado on Thursday.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out and is keeping Cassie in their thoughts and prayers, but most of all to the brave men and women working around the clock in unimaginable conditions to bring her and others home,” he said in a statement. “Our family is forever grateful. Cassie is a wife, mother and true friend to so many. She brings a vivacious love of life to everything she does — whether as an actress, model or Pilates instructor. Thank you again for your continued prayers.”

Michael Stratton is a Durango native and senior policy director with the law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. He has served as a member of the Democratic National Committee.
