The daughter of US President and her husband Jared Kushner were accompanying father Donald Trump on his trip to India. Ivanka Trump posted on Twitter: “Thank you PM Narendra Modi for your warm hospitality as we visited your beautiful country and celebrated the strength, spirit and unity of the US & India!
“Throughout our visit we saw monumental achievements of human creativity & proof of the infinite capacity of the human heart!”
The US President’s daughter was responding to a tweet posted by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.
Narendra Modi posted: “India is happy to have hosted Jared and you [Ivanka]. Your liking towards India is clearly visible.
“My best wishes to you in your endeavours to further empowerment and enterprise amount women.
“Hoping to see you both back in India soon!”
Ivanka has been slammed for her post on Twitter with social media users claiming she is using US taxpayer’s money and ignoring the violence going on in India’s capital.
One user posted: “Millions and millions of taxpayers do not support Ivanka and Jared spending precious government money to network their brand and globe trot.
They weren’t elected, aren’t qualified and couldn’t get security clearances but for nepotism.”
Another added: “Hey Princess people are dying in India as we speak. I am sure you only saw the pretty places.”
While a third asked: “Have you seen news of Delhi when you visited India?”
One Twitter user responded: “You brag about making $80m plus last year yet you have to take a vacation on the taxpayer’s dime, most of them making less than $40K a year. Nice job.”
“You shouldn’t have been there,” another user claimed.

“On the taxpayer’s dime!” a social media user added.
Ivanka’s post comes after violence broke out in several areas across northeast Delhi just miles away from where the US President and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met for talks.
The outbreak is the worst in the Indian capital since protests against new citizenship laws erupted more than two months ago.
While the violence erupted, Mr Trump praised India as a tolerant country.
He said: “India is a country that proudly embraces freedom, liberty, individual rights, the rule of law, and dignity of every human being.
“Your unity is an inspiration to the world.”
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner accompanied the US President while he was in India touting trade and a $3 billion defence deal between the two countries.
This included a joint rally with Indian prime minister Narendra Modi.
But Ivanka Trump and her husband’s role on the Indian trip remains unclear.
