A newborn kitten has captured the hearts of thousands of cat-lovers after its cute reaction to shadow puppetry.
The greyish-white moggie known as Hoshi and its owner were filmed playing a game of "catching shadows" against a wall.
In the Instagram post, which was viewed more than 2,500 times, the little feline tries to catch the shadow of the owner's finger and desperately bounces up and down on its cat bed.
The curious munchkin cat looks up and around to avoid "being caught" by the dark shadow while trying to retaliate and hit back onto it.
