Liverpool ace Fabinho’s wife shares Insta snap ahead of Atletico Madrid clash

Liverpool ace Fabinho's wife has shared a picture from Spain as the Reds prepare to face Atletico Madrid in their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Rebeca Tavares, 24, posted the picture of Atletico's 67,000-capacity Wanda Metropolitano Stadium with her 113k Instagram followers.

She shared the snap of the approach to the stadium taken from her car on her Instagram story.

Rebeca married Fabinho back in 2015, but the couple first met two years earlier.

A keen Liverpool fan, she often watches him play at Anfield and at away games.

She is also a talented athlete in her own right and was previously a footballer herself.

The gorgeous brunette spent time playing for Monaco's women's side, before deciding to hang up her boots when her husband joined Liverpool in 2018.

Brazilian-born Rebeca moved from her home country to Spain when she was just six years old and said her favourite player of all time as Ronaldinho.

"His style captivated me," she told HerFootballHub recently.

Fabinho and Rebeca have been enjoying the Premier League winter break which has been brought in this season.

Earlier this month, the couple went on a luxury trip to the Maldives, where Rebeca shared some snaps from the tropical paradise.

In one of the pictures, Rebeca lies sprawled across her husband on a comfy-looking sofa swing.

Captioning the photo, she wrote simply: "Paradise."

Liverpool travel to Madrid for tonight's tie which kicks off at 8pm UK time.

They come into the games as favourites, with the home side likely to miss a number of key players.

Joao Felix, Hector Herrera and former Spurs defender Kieran Tripper could all be out of action for the Spanish side.

But Atletico coach Diego Simeone has been handed a boost with ex-Chelsea striker Diego Costa returning to training last week, and an appearance tonight possible.
