The night an Alamosa woman went missing, she was in contact with a homicide suspect who was shot dead earlier this week by Northglenn police.
The family of Cheyenne Goins, 21, reported her missing on Aug. 12, according to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation news release.
CBI is assisting the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office in an investigation of Goins’ disappearance, and investigators believe “foul play” is involved.
“It’s believed that several people were in contact with Goins the night she went missing, including the suspect in the officer-involved shooting in Northglenn” on Wednesday, the release said. “While the suspect in the Northglenn incident was most definitely a person of interest in Goins’ disappearance, there were no formal charges at the time of the incident.”
Anyone with information about Goins’ disappearance is asked to call 719-589-5807.
