Moment chained-up lynx mauls circus trainer who tortured it in front of kids

This is the moment a chained-up lynx mauled a circus tamer as kids watched on in horror.

Children screamed in terror as the beast prowled around the stage in Tskhinvali, Georgia.

Sickening footage shows the tubby trainer yanking the lynx off a high chair with a chain around its neck.

After falling, the animal can be seen savaging the trainer with its claws as onlookers flee.

Local reports claim there were dozens ads in the front row who narrowly avoided injury during the big cat’s rampage.

One mum in the audience raged: “It was scary – there was no protective fence around the stage where he was performing.”

The Sochi touring circus has refused to comment on injuries to the trainer or safety concerns.

The circus – which also features acrobats, figure skaters and an array of animals including crocodiles, pythons, monkeys, and porcupines – is on tour around Russia and neighbouring regions.
