An obsessive strip club punter allegedly killed an exotic dancer who he had "envisioned a future" with, police claim.
Strip club regular Stanley Szeliga, 54, is suspected of shooting 22-year-old Abigail Saldaña on October 26, as she drove near her workplace Rick’s Cabaret in Fort Worth, Texas.
Just hours before the fatal incident, Szeliga claimed on Instagram that he had given his favourite dancer $3,000 (£2,200), and threatened to report her for prostitution.
Ms Saldaña was behind the wheel of her car at around 9pm on Tuesday last week when a witness watched her vehicle swerve off an exit ramp onto a grassy area near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Police said the caller who checked on Ms Saldaña, found bullet holes in the passenger side of the car and the driver motionless, Yahoo reports.
Emergency services pronounced the dancer dead at the scene where three shell casings and broken glass were found nearby.
The dancer's mum, Jessica Contreras, told theStar-Telegramlast week: "I don’t know where she was going that night. We got a text about 6:30 p.m. that night, and the shooting happened about two hours later."
According to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by local outlets, Szeliga told with his Instagram followers that he had made multiple payments to Saldaña for $800 (£585), $200 (£146), and $1,000 (£732).

Detectives said that only three hours before the murder, Szeliga said online that he paid Saldaña $3,000 (£2,200) and threatened to report her for alleged prostitution.
In a previous social media post, the murder suspect wrote: “I never thought I’d be one of those guys taken advantage of. Sharing for awareness. Abigail S. and I, since July 2021, we have been enjoying each other’s company.
"She’s so beautiful and personable that I envisioned a future with her. But dealing with all the lies is overwhelming, I realize that’s part of your primary job as an adult entertainer."

Szeliga continued: "If you only leave your second job, being in a high-end prostitution ring we could move forward. Yes, this pays $2000 per session, but it’s illegal. And having a boyfriend whilst having sex with other men?!"
Before her death Ms Saldaña told colleagues that she was scared of a man called Stan who was "stalking and harassing her".
Road CCTV caught Szeliga’s red pick-up truck following the victim's car before she was shot.

A SWAT team found the murder suspect on his apartment's balcony with what looked like self-inflicted wounds on his face and neck.
Szeliga is being held in the Tarrant County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
Ms Saldaña’s mum Jessica said: "He took her away from me, and I’m gonna make sure every time he has a court date, he will see my face there.
