Prince William the Duke of Cambridge showed off his bulging biceps as he revealed he has received his first Covid jab.

In a tweet, the future King wrote: "On Tuesday I received my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

"To all those working on the vaccine rollout – thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do."

It was accompanied by a picture of the masked duke with his sleeve rolled up and a needle in his arm.

Royal fans appeared to be more delighted at being invited to 'the gun show', however.

One responded by writing: "Those guns," followed by a heart eyes and bicep emoji.

To which another wrote: "Ha ha, I was just thinking he’s looking pretty fit."

"The guns tho," another commented.

Another Twitter user simply commented: "GUN SHOW."

The Duke of Cambridge tested positive for coronavirus in April last year, but kept his illness secret – with royal staff said to be panicked as the heir to the throne began showing significant Covid-19 symptoms, including struggling to breathe.

According to reports, it was not revealed at the time as he didn't wish to cause alarm and saying "there were important things going on and I didn't want to worry anyone".
