Sickening video has emerged of a man filming his pet pitbull mauling a stray dog to death on a street.
The incident was uncovered after a passerby found a body of a brown puppy lying on the street of Ankang, Shaanxi province in southwest China.
Surveillance camera footage from nearby shops reveals the moment of the attack in the early morning of February 13.
A white pitbull is seen sinking its teeth into the helpless pooch while its owner films the gruesome attack on his phone.
It is understood that the man, known by the surname Wang, had not put a leash on his pet dog and he failed to follow the rules to wear a face mask amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Wang claimed that he tried to intervene and separated the two canines but he feared the brown pooch was a pet dog and decided to film the attack as evidence.
Wang was given a verbal warning for not wearing a facemask and released soon after, according to local reports.
There have been no charges over the concerns of animal cruelty.
But his pet pitbull was taken to a local kennel.
In northeastern China's Heilongjiang province, a dog owner was caught on camera "walking their dog" from 20ft above the ground after their building had been placed on lockdown amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The clip showed the owner extending the leash to a few metres long and letting the dog walk around the premise for exercise.
Minutes later, they retracted the leash and pulled the dog back up into their apartment.
