Tik Tok brings surge of UFO sighting reports with highest ever numbers

The rise of video sharing sites like TikTok has led to a surge in reports of flying saucers.

Numbers of sightings are at the “highest they have ever been”, says the UK UFO Research Association.

And experts believe the hike could help them prove soon that aliens do exist.

The UFO group’s Alan Scott said: “It really is incredible the amount of reports we are seeing coming in.

“A lot of these videos are coming off the back of social media platforms, in particular TikTok, because just so many are uploaded.

“In years gone by we wouldn’t really have any evidence at all – just word of mouth to go on.

“But these days, where everyone has their phone with them at all times, we are being sent more videos than ever.”

A host of videos have recently made their way onto the controversial social platform – with TikTok well suited to spreading information quickly about UFO sightings.

Alleged UFOs have quickly gone viral on TikTok in recent months.

Alan added: “We make our way through these videos sent in and take a view based on our knowledge as to whether they could be something, or if they are just a light show elsewhere or something else totally explainable.

“People mean well, of course, but sometimes they do get it wrong.

“But we have had a lot of very convincing clips sent in to us which are frankly hard to explain.”

British experts say the most sightings are still from London. But more are now coming from Scotland, Bristol and Newcastle in particular.

Alan added: “It is all over the country, with most reports coming in between 8pm and midnight.

“2020 has been a relatively odd year. Maybe it will also be the year we prove aliens do exist.”
