Britain's newest multi-millionaires have revealed that they might have been far more prepared to win than most.
The lucky Gloucestershire couple who won the largest ever £184m EuroMillions jackpot last week went public earlier today.
Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucestershire, bagged the record-breaking sum on Tuesday (May 10).
And after finally coming to terms with their life-changing jackpot win, they've decided to tell the world about their money plans.
The couple, who are now the UK's biggest-ever National Lottery winners, revealed their identity at a press conference today (Thursday, May 19).
And 44-year-old Jess, who runs a hair salon with her sister revealed that thanks to her father, she was actually prepared for the big win.
She said: “My dad played The National Lottery all his life and constantly dreamed of winning.
“He would always ask us what we’d do when we won, how we’d spend it, who we’d treat.
“It was a regular conversation and I feel like he was preparing us.
“Maybe that is why I seem so chilled, as I’ve kind of been ready to win for years.”
When Jess’ father passed away around seven years ago, Joe took on the mantle of playing The National Lottery.
Joe said: “The family always ask me if I have a ticket for the big draws.
“While I don’t play every week, I do a Lucky Dip when there is a big jackpot.
“Although I don’t feel like I’ve had a lot of luck in the past.”
The couple called the win a “huge relief” as they had been struggling like “any other family”.
Their winning EuroMillions numbers were 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29 – plus the Lucky Star numbers 4 and 9.
On the win, Jess added: “I don’t want to lie to family and friends, I want to enjoy it with them.

“Maybe, naively, I thought we could tell a few people and it would be fine.
“But the list gets longer and soon you realise it would be a burden asking them to keep it quiet. Telling people makes it easier.
“The win gives us time to dream which we haven’t had before. We’ve had one week to think about this and we now have time to share lots of experiences and go on adventures with our family and friends."
