York Regional Police say an 80-year-old woman is dead and three others are injured after a three-vehicle crash in Vaughan Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Weston and Rutherford roads shortly before 1:30 p.m. for the crash.
Police said two vehicles collided while turning into a plaza and subsequently hit a third vehicle.
An 80-year-old woman from Vaughan was in life-threatening condition and was later pronounced dead.
Police initially said a man in his 80s, who was driving the vehicle the woman was in, was also in life-threatening condition, but officers have since said his injuries have been deemed minor.
Two other people who were in another vehicle also suffered minor injuries in the crash and were transported to hospital, police said.
No one in the third vehicle was injured.
There is no word on what led to the crash.
